Start of Cooperation with Deutz
License Agreement with Deutz AG. Beginning of Sales and Service of the M1A Gas Turbine in Europe.
Foundation of KGE
Establishment of the Headquarters for the European Market in Bad Homburg. Start of Sales, Packaging and Service for Gas Turbine Generator Sets.
Expansion of Production
Relocation to Bad Homburg v. d. H. and build-up of in-house Packaging capacities as well as cooperation with selected Partners.
New Turbines and H₂-Technologies
Development of additional Turbines (5 MW and 35 MW) by KHI and creation of a Hydrogen Technology Chain. Expansion of Market Activities across Europe.
New Markets Outside the EU
Expansion of the Sales and Service Region. Start of Promotion and Sales Activities in non-EU Markets.
First Hydrogen Gas Turbine in Operation
Successful Commissioning of the first Hydrogen Gas Turbine in Kobe. The installation was implemented as part of the Smart Community Project “Hydrogen-CGS”, supported by NEDO.
100 MW Installed Capacity
Reaching a total installed capacity of 100 MW in the Italian Market within only three years.
Award for Hydrogen Innovation
Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe received the industry award for the H₂-Micro-Mix-Burner, confirming its technological leadership in Low-Emission-Operation.
First Commercial H₂-Milestone
With the successful Commissioning of the GPB17D-H2, the world’s first commercial Hydrogen Gas Turbine Operation commenced. The project sets new standards for the European Energy Market.
