To improve the CHP System of K+S, it was planned to install a new Gas Turbine upstream a dryer.
The goal of the Gas Turbine installation upstream the dryer was, amongst others, to increase the amount of self-generated electricity. This electricity will supply the public grid and will substitute the external power supply. Further effect will be the improvement of the operation of the drying system because of separation of different systems.
This project was realised via a KAWASAKI Gas Turbine with electrical power of approx. 1,5 MWe, which was implemented in an existing dryer building.
